BEVERLY HILLS, CA, January 13, (THEWILL) - The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday said there is no division whatsoever in the party in the state as being suggested by a report in a national newspaper.

A statement signed by the party's interim publicity secretary, Engr.

Rotimi Fashakin, said APC remains one and indivisible entity in the state under the chairmanship of Chief  Oluwarotimi O.

Akeredolu (SAN).
'Our attention has been drawn to a story deviously planted in Punch Newspaper of 13th January, 2014 (Page 14), wherein it was reported that some fellows met in Ijare and alluded to the formation of a parallel executive committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.

'What is more, these unconscionable folks had the temerity to falsely lay claim to deriving their authority from one of our National leaders.

'We hereby state unequivocally that the entire report in that National Newspaper was a mendacious piece of hogwash! APC in Ondo State is one and indivisible.

'The purported parallel executive committee only exists in the imagination of these individuals, who have wittingly lent themselves as willing tools in the hands of the Labour/PDP fusion for the purpose of scuttling the birth and free reign of liberty, for Ondo State people, which the advent of APC connotes.

'As we stated in our earlier statement (on Thursday, 9th January, 2014), the authentic and only  executive committee for Ondo APC is the one led by Chief Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, (SAN) and which was put in place, with the full insignia of authority of the national body  by Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, the interim national vice-chairman (South-West).

'Let it be said that any other assemblage can only be peopled by pretenders and impostors.

We advise the discerning Nigerian public, particularly the good people of Ondo State, to be wary of these desperados,' the party said in the statement.
