Save Us From Insecurity, Poverty, Northern Governors Beg Jonathan

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has been urged to arrest the problems of

insecurity and unemployment ravaging the North so as to ensure safety of

lives and property in the region.
The Northern Governors Forum (NGF) while on a condolence visit to Kano

state Governor, Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso over last Tuesday's attack on his

father, Alhaji Musa Saleh, decried the mounting problems of insecurity in

the North and called for urgent steps to curtail the problems caused by

insecurity in the region.
Pointblanknews.com can recall that unknown gun men last Tuesday killed

three people and wounded 13 others when they stormed a Mosque where Alhaji

Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, father of Governor Kwankwaso was observing his

evening prayers.
The NGF which sent a delegation to Kano to commiserate with Kwankwaso and

the people of the state over the Mosque incident also urged the Governor

to launch full scale investigation so as to unravel the perpetrators of

the crime.
The northern governors delegation to Kano include, Chairman of NGF, Alhaji

Babangida Aliyu, Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, Aliyu Wammako of

Sokoto state and Katsina state Deputy Governor who represented Ibrahim

Shema.
They called on the Federal Government to address the problem of poverty

ravaging the North.
Babangida Aliyu who spoke on behalf of NGF called for a thorough

investigation of the incident, so as to fish out the criminals and bring

them to justice.
The NGF chairman commended the maturity, with which Governor Kwankwaso

handled the matter.
The NGF also called on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to as a matter of

urgency, address the mounting security problems facing the country.

Governor Kwankwaso thanked the governors for the visit to share his moment

of grief over the attack on his father by unknown gunmen, just as he also

tasked the Federal Government to address unemployment crisis in the

country, so as to curb violent crimes in the entire country.
