Fatality as Wii controller confused with gun
In a tragic accident in the US, a three-year-old girl mistakenly picked up a handgun, thinking it was a gun-like Wii controller, and was fatally wounded after shooting herself in the abdomen.
The young girl, Cheyenne Alexis McKeehan, had been playing a game on the Nintendo Wii and not with the standard white Wii remote but with a black gun-shaped one that resembled the .380 calibre semi-automatic handgun belonging to her stepfather.
The semi-automatic had been left on a table in the living room within reach of the child who "pulled the gun off the table and it went off" according to the authorities, reports Allaboutthegames.co.uk.
