Imo Govt. To Launch A Taxi Scheme Soonest—Imo Deputy

Imo State Government in no distant time shall be unveiling another transport scheme to aid easy transportation of Imo residents to their and from their different destination.


Imo Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere MFR revealed this yesterday in his office at Imo government House while speaking to the cross section of the transport workers, Drivers Welfare Association that had paid him a courtesy call.

Prince Madumere called on the drivers to be vigilant especially this Yuletide season against trouble makers as their vocation remain strategic to fishing out trouble makers whose aim is to cause disharmony and pains in the State.

He further commended the group for their patience and comporting themselves in a peaceful manner while formally thanking them for making great input that led to the election and emergence of Owelle Rochas Okorocha as the Governor of Imo State.

He further reiterated Governor Okorocha's unwavering posture to redeemed his electoral promises to the body as he also said the plan to train some of their members abroad is still on course.

Drivers Welfare Association led by Comrade Emeogu Unakalamba speaking through their secretary , Comrade Linus Duru extolled the Owelle Rochas Okorocha led government for her monumental achievements in infrastructure, education and other areas saying such has not been witnessed in a very long time except during Late Sam Mbakwe's administration.

The group lauded the Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration for its labour friendly policies even as it was the first government to implement minimum wage policies.

Speaking further Linus Duru called on the administration to look into the welfare of their association as they are remain part of the wheel of progress and development of the societies.
