Court sentences sex worker to three months imprisonment with hard labour

A sex worker, Ene Emmanuel, was on Monday, sentenced to three months imprisonment with hard labour, for appearing again before the court for a charge of sex hawking.

The accused, 21, was charged before a Tinubu Magistrates’ court for involving in sex hawking.

The prosecutor, Insp. Chidi Okoye, told the court that the accused committed the offence at about 2.00 a.m. on Nov. 18, around victoria Island.

“On the previous arraignment, the accused had presented herself to be a “Josephine Ogu” which was a false name.” Okoye said.
