Dr. Alile bags Anthony Enahoro's African leadership award 2013

Apostle Hayford Ikponmwosa Alike (OFR), a former Nigerian Stock Exchange Director, a staunch businessman and now a preacher of the gospel has become the first recipient of a special award created by the Voice news magazine based in the Netherlands through its Achievers Award to recognize and acknowledge the valuable contributions of Nigeria's late Elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enahoro who died close to three years ago.
According to the publisher of the magazine, Pastor Elvis Iruh, the award is going to be yearly for an outstanding African whose belief in true African leadership stands out. The award is not going to be given out to politicians alone but any individuals who style of workmanship points to true leadership quality across Africa.
Therefore the organizers announced that they have commenced their searchlight for the recipient of the award for 2014. “We are searching for men and women who will inspire our younger generation to belief that there is a future for Africa through quality leadership at all level of human endeavours”.
Dr. Alile on receiving the award congratulated the Voice magazine on the initiative to recognize and award such a great Nigerian as Chief Anthony Enahoro who stood for whatever was progressive for Nigeria as a nation and Africa in general. He said he was principled to a fault; stood on his principles of what is right and lived for it. “His life should be taught to the younger generation”.
It is more benefiting that both late Chief Anthony Enahoro and Apostle Alile hail from the same state in Nigeria, Edo State.
He accepted the award with the intention that it would inspire others that they are been watched and they would be recognized one day for their contributions to the betterment of Nigeria and its advancement.
He appealed to the organizers to search even deeper as there are more deserving Nigerians or Africans for such recognition for next year's award event.
The Publisher, Pastor Elvis Iruh further disclosed that a book written in the memory of late Chief Anthony Enahoro written by a Nigerian Journalist, Eubaldus Enahoro could not be ready before the award ceremony but he promised that the book project is top on the agenda of the award committee for that of 2014 where the children of late Chief Anthony Enahoro and the author of the book will be physically present at the award ceremony in the Netherlands.
Apostle Hayford Alile was to receive a second award at the Voice Achievers Award 2013; for Life time Achievers Award; this is in recognition of his continued service to humanity long after his retirement from public service.
Other Nigerians recognized at this year's award included Governors of Plateau state, His Excellency, David Jonah Jang, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan of Delta State, His Excellency, Godswil Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state and His Excellency, Barrister Sullivan Chime of Enugu state. Others on the list were Arch-Bishop, Margret Benson-Idahosa who received the Voice news magazine woman of the year personality award, Dr. Felix Omobude, Nigerian High Commissioner to United Kingdom, Dr. Dalhatu Sarki Tafida, Ambassador Nimota Akanbi, Nigeria Ambassador to the Netherlands; Mr. Gesi Asamaowei, Mr. Adebayo Omipidan, Akinyi Weiniger (Kenya), Caroline Achieng Otieno (Kenya), Davidson Toussaint (Haiti), Chief Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio (Nigeria), First Lady of Akwa Ibom state, Engr. This award ceremony took place at the prestigious Van der Valk Hotel in Almere, The Netherlands on 11th October 2013
