We call on workers, students, writers, bloggers , the youth, peasant farmers, artisans, professionals, traders and other sections of the working people of Imo State to join us in Imo Victory Organization so that we can jointly struggle together to create a corrupt free and decent Imo State in which poverty, exploitation, oppression and looting of the state treasury will have no place.
Speaking out against the looting of Imo State treasury by the capitalist non performing military governor of Imo State in civilian clothing Chief Rochas Okorocha is one of the central campaigns of IVO
IVO is against the looting of the monthly LGA allocations in Imo State by Governor Okorocha
IVO is against the looting of the 13percent oil derivation funds in Imo State by Governor Okorocha
IVO is against the looting of the Federal Government 400 million naira grant of the Imo 2012 flood victims
IVO wants a living minimum wage of N18,000 per month for Imo workers
IVO wants proper funding of tertiary schools in Imo State and free health care for Imo indigenes
IVO wants N50,000 annual bursary for Imo indigenes in Nigerian higher institutions
IVO promotes active listening and communication amongst Imo youths; being able to listen to different points of view, to express one's own opinions fearlessly and evaluate both
IVO provides adequate information on Imo State and Nigerian issues, our history as Imo State, the future of our nation and suggesting possible solutions/remedies.
IVO wants the reinstatement of the 10,000 sacked Imo Civil Servants. 10,000 Imo civil servants were sacked by Gov Okorocha in June 2011.
IVO also campaigns against:
Privatisation of public companies and commercialisation of social services in Imo State
Retrenchment of workers in IMO LGA's
With the lack of determination on the part of most trade union leaders in Imo State to defend workers' interests IVO campaigns against casualization, poor working conditions, and fights for a living pension and wage and defends the rights of workers victimized while protecting their rights. IVO will stand for democratic trade unions, with no privileged leaderships
