Two Things Are Involved in Nigeria Politics Today

In the Nigeria political terrain where we are today two things are involved: It is either you are a civil servant or you are a politician. If you are a civil servant you are saved but if you are a politician two things are involved: It is either you are an active participant or a spectator. If you are a spectator you are saved but if you are an active participant two things are involved: It is either you are a member of the opposition parties or a member of the ruling Peoples' Democratic Party. If you are a member of the opposition parties you are saved but if you are a member of the PDP two things are involved. It is either you are a member of the Old-PDP led by Dr. Bamanga Tukur or you are a member of the New-PDP led by Kuwa Baraje. If you are a member of the Old-PDP you are saved but if you are a member of the New-PDP two things are involved. It is either you are in your final term in office or you have a presidential ambition. If you are in your final term in office you are saved but if you have a presidential ambition two things are involved: It is either you are from the North or from the South. If you are from the North you are saved but if you are from the South two things are involved. It is either you are from Rivers state or from Lagos state. If you are from Lagos state you are saved but if you are from Rivers state two things are involved. It is either the state is under your control or you are under the control of the state. If the state is under your control you are saved but if the state is controlling you two things are involved. It is either the Commissioner of Polices gives you orders and regulates your movement or the EFCC is waiting with open arms to receive you when your immunity expires in 2015. If the EFCC is waiting for you with open arms, you are saved but if the Commissioner of Police gives you conditions two things are involved. It is either you constitute a threat to national security or you have simply fallen out of favour with the gods in Aso Rock. If you are a threat to national security you are saved but if you fall out of favour with the gods in Aso Rock there is only one thing involved, you will be hunted and persecuted from all cylinders till 2015.
