BOHA Faults FG Over Declining Security Situation In Borno

Borno state house of assembly has faulted the way and manner the federal government is dealing with the insecurity situation in the state; adding that the situation is rather getting worse particularly with attacks which increasingly led to loss of lives and properties in many areas of the state.

Leader of the house, Hon. Idrissa Jidda who expressed displeasure over the handling of the security situation by federal government under President Goodluck Jonathan said, the house would always stand by the Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima for his doggedness in handling state matters especially the impending security challenges.

He said, governor Kashim Shettima is striving hard to see that the state overcome challenges of insecurity at all cost as such; called on members to stand by the governor and ensure that all possible ways of finding lasting solution to the crises situation is achieved.

Also speaking member representing Damboa state constituency in the house Hon. Ayemu Gwasha said that governor Kashim Shettima is an exceptional leader, adding that, despite all odds he tries to maintain peace in a chaotic situation which the state found itself.

He said the governor has on many occasions consoled bereaved families and assist people who are suffering from distress due to the perpetual perpetrations of the act of violence by insurgents.

Similarly, members representing Maiduguri metropolitan council, Hon. Abubakar Tijjani as well as that of Kwaya Kusar state constituency, Hon. Saleh Banga and Hon. Rawa Goni, representing Gulumba Woloji, who spoke in the same vein called for continuous support for governor Shettima and urged the house to take a decision to pass vote of confidence on the governor.
