Senate Leader and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, said the ruling party has done enough preparation for the local government polls holding in the state on Saturday, September 21, 2013.

Ndoma-Egba, a three-term Senator and loyal member of the PDP made the remark in an interview in Abuja.

“We are fully prepared for the election. As usual we moved round talking to the people. The National Chairman of our great party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur was present at the flag-off of our campaign even though it is local government election. This is to tell you how serious we are about the election. There is virtually no any other party on ground. But we are fully on ground,” Ndom-Egba said.

The Senate leader added that victory was sure for PDP in the election, as according to him, the PDP-led government in Cross River State has performed excellently well in the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people.

“The party's performance in the state is there to speak for us. A lot of transformations have taking place in Cross River State through the developmental effort of the PDP government led by Governor Liyel Imoke. The entire people of Cross River are pleased with PDP government in the state. The PDP has impacted so much on their lives that they can't afford not to vote for our party across all the local councils in the state,” he added.

However, the Senator, representing Cross River Central in the Red Chamber, advised the people of the state to come out en masse to exercise their franchise right, while urging them to conduct themselves properly and avoid any form of violence in the course of the election.
