PDP Crisis: 'Rebel' governors hold talks with New PDP Senators, Reps

Following their meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday to resolve the crises rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the aggrieved governors on Monday also held talks with federal legislators loyal to the Abubakar Baraje-led New Peoples Democratic Party.

It was leant that Governors Murtala Nyako (Adamawa);  Sule Lamido (Jigawa);  Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Rotimi Ameachi (Rivers);  and Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara) convened the meeting to meet and strategise with the lawmakers following the ceasefire agreement they entered into with President Goodluck  Jonathan.

It was gathered that the meeting which held at about 8:58pm at the Kano State Governor's Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja compelled Senators loyal to the New PDP  to put their attendance of the Senate PDP caucus meeting on hold.

It was further gathered that the legislators were eager to get the details of what transpired between the governors,  Jonathan and  the Tukur-led PDP in order to decide what steps to take next. - Punch.
