By Prince Adedayo Adeyeye

Afenifere Chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has described the death of former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu as a terrible loss to the country, saying; “the nation's political space, especially the PDP will miss him dearly.”

Adeyeye, who commiserated with the Agagu's family, government and people of Ondo State, members and supporters of the PDP in Ondo State in particular, Nigeria and the whole world in general over the sudden death of Dr Agagu, said; “it is only God that can relief us of this pain.”

Adeyeye said; “I received with shock the news of the death of Dr. Olusegun Agagu and all I can say for now is that the family should take solace in the fact that he lived an exemplary and fulfilled life worthy of emulation by all.

“No doubt, this death is painful. It is devastating and a terrible loss to Nigeria and its people. But we must continue to take solace in the reality of the inevitability of death, and that it will come when it must come.

“Dr Agagu was indeed a patriot, who devoted his intellectual and material gifts to service of Nigeria and its people.

“It is my prayer that the Almighty God will in His infinite mercies console the family of the deceased and grant his friends, associates, the government and people of Ondo State the grace to bear this painful loss.”
