Ecobank Nigeria, on Monday, announced the deployment of toll free telephone lines, in a bid to boost its customer service delivery.

According to a statement from the bank, the toll free lines will impact on service delivery positively as customers will be encouraged to use the lines for speedy resolution of issues and other customer-related activities.

'A comprehensive marketing communication campaign is being deployed to inform existing and prospective customers of the toll free lines which will be used at no cost to the customer,' the bank said, adding that, 'the need to put the customers first in all activities informed the decision to deploy the toll free lines at no charge to the customer.'

The statement quoted the Deputy Managing Director, Tony Okpanachi, as saying, 'Toll free numbers have become a reliable channel for customer feedback among businesses that are keen on excellent customer service.'

According to the bank, the toll free lines campaign will, among other things: generate awareness of the lines among existing and prospective customers, provide information on the telephone lines and a how-to-use guide; and encourage customers to use the toll free line(s) for all enquiries and other customer centred activities.
