Eto'o: Chelsea have given me my dream

Samuel Eto'o believes his move to Chelsea has given him the chance to fulfil the last dream of his professional career. The highly decorated 32-year-old striker has won three La Liga titles, the Serie A and three champions League winners medals during a career which has seen him play at the very top with the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan. Yet he reckons the move to Stamford Bridge will now complete his professional dreams. Not that he has any immediate plans to retire yet. He arrived yesterday on a one year deal after missing out on coming to Chelsea in Jose Mourinho's first spell in charge. He said: 'I've had a couple of opportunities to come to England before, including the first time Jose was here, but it didn't work out for one reason or another. Since that time, I have had a career where I have been lucky enough to win a lot of trophies in different countries, but one of my last dreams as a professional is to come and play in England and see if I can have the same success as in my previous clubs. 'I don't see it as a final challenge, but to have a good time, enjoy my football, and have success with this team.' Eto'o's move from Anzhi Makhachkala may be just for the one season but he is not looking any further than the end of that contract. He added: It's something to talk about later, both sides need to be happy but importantly the club needs to be happy with me before they even ask my opinion on that.'
