Adeyeye Condoles NUJ over death of three journalists

Afenifere Chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye has commiserated with the President and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) over the death of three Journalists in a ghastly motor accident in Ilesa, Osun state at the weekend.

Adeyeye, in a condolence message to the President of the NUJ, Mallam Garba Mohammed described the death of the journalists as lamentable and painful, praying that God will console the families and friends of the deceased and heal those still receiving treatment.

He said; "The death of three of our professional colleagues through a ghastly motor accident in Ilesa, Osun State came to me as a rude shock.

"This death is very unfortunate and I share in this pain.

"However, I urge journalists and all media practitioners in the country not to allow this tragedy to affect the performance of their duties.

"Rather, it should be a tonic that should ginger them to be more committed to upholding the ideals of nation building.

"It is my prayer that the Almighty God will grant the souls of the departed eternal rest and grant the families, men of the pen profession and the entire country the fortitude to bear this sad loss."
