The Gay Rights Law: Pleasing the Ungodly to Displease God

There is a new wave of unwarranted and unjustifiable madness, even outright impunity that is spreading like wildfire nowadays around the world.

That madness, for that is what it actually is, began in The Netherlands in April 2001, and it has so far spread to Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, Argentina, Denmark, Uruguay, New Zealand, Brazil, France, some parts of Mexico, and lately, Britain.

Quite ironically and unexpectedly, that madness has also spread to the only country of the world whose motto is "In God We Trust", the United States of America, despite the fact that the act which it is upholding, contravenes the word of God in the Holy Bible.

The madness that I am referring to is the legalization of same-sex marriage. Whereas the aforementioned countries have legalized it, the bill seeking to legalize it is either being debated, pending debate or adoption in the legislative chambers of many other countries.

Thank God, that madness was outrightly rejected in my beloved country Nigeria, as the national legislators of country threw out the bill and even imposed a death sentence upon anyone who is caught in the act, despite heavy pressure from the developed countries.

Same-sex marriage is marriage between people of the same sex while the Gay Rights Law is the legislation which gives legal backing to it. Under this marriage system, a man may marry a fellow man while a woman may also marry a fellow woman.

From the perspective of the word of God as enshrined in the Holy Bible, same-sex marriage is ungodly and by extension, all those who are indulging in it, including the legislators who made the Gay Rights Law, the pastors who conduct the same-sex marriage, and all other supporters of the marriage system and the Law.

We do not have to look too deep into the Holy Bible to prove that same-sex marriage is ungodly. What the makers of the Gay Rights Law have done is to please the ungodly and at the same time, to displease God, as He is always angry whenever His scriptural injunctions are being violated.

God abhors same-sex marriage, and this fact can be confirmed by the following excerpts of the Holy Bible from Leviticus chapter 18 verses 22 through 29 (King James Version);

22. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.

24. ...Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations are defiled which

I cast out before you...
29. ...For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them

shall be cut off from among their people.
Similar to the above scriptures is the injunction in Deuteronomy chapter 23 verse 17, which is also reproduced from the King Janmes Version of the Holy Bible below:

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

It can be seen clearly from the above scriptures that same-sex marriage is an abomination which defiles not only the people indulging in it, but also the nation in which it is being practised and encouraged.

It was as a result of the sins of homosexuality and whoredom that God destroyed the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, as we can see in Genesis chapter 19 of the Holy Bible.

A divine punishment awaits all those who are indulging in abominable acts, as we can see from Revelations chapter 21 verse 8 of the Holy Bible, which is reproduced below:

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

In view of the outright condemnation of same-sex marriage by God in the above scriptures of the Holy Bible, it is quite surprising that the nations that passed the Gay Rights Law still went ahead to do so. It is even much more surprising that the United States of America, a country which claims to have regard for God, allowed the legislation and the iniquitous act within their shores.

Could it be that those countries that passed the Gay Rights Law were ignorant of God's scriptural injunctions regarding it? Assuming it were so, the time to repent is now as we can see from Acts chapter 17 verses 30 through 31 below:

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent; Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained...

From the revelations of these scriptures from the Holy Bible, those countries that have legalized same-sex marriage can no longer claim ignorance of the law of God which is outrightly against it, and they should immediately abrogate the law in their respective countries and return to the status quo ante, as lawyers usually say. Failure to do so would obviously imply being victims of the judgement of God which is already upon them for their acts of impunity in legalizing same-sex marriage and supporting the obnoxious and reprehensible acts of homosexuality and whoredom. A stitch in time saves nine!
