Governor T.A. Orji admonishes Ndi. Igbo
Abia state Governor, Chief T.A. Orji has advised Ndigbo to be good ambassadors of the South East Region wherever they may find themselves within or outside the country.
Chief Orji gave this advice when members of concerned citizens of Igbo leaders, forum based in Lagos paid him a courtesy call in Umuahia.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Ugochukwu Emezue, Chief Orji challenged Igbo leaders, forum to work in harmony to ensure progress and unity amongst Ndigbo.
Chief Orji also urged them to come home and invest. As he puts it, a state like Abia is now investors destination as security is sustained round the clock.
In his speech, the coordinator of the forum,Ogbonna Onyenweaku said they were in Abia state to identify with governor Orji whose sterling performance has become a reference point in the south East.
Chief Onyenweaku who declared that the tremendous development being witnessed in Abia today under the leadership of Chief Orji is worthy of commendation, urged the governor to sustain the tempo.
Speaking further, the leader of the group stated that one of the greatest achievements of governor Orji is the liberation of Abia from oppressive forces and returning the state back to God.
Chief Onyenweaku made it clear that the history of Ndigbo and indeed Nigeria will not be complete without mentioning the role Chief Orji is playing in the advancement of democratic ideals.
While commending the governor for uniting Abians , the leadership of the Igbo forum praised the number one citizen of the state for the numerous legacy projects across the state.
They pledged their support for the Chief T.A. Orji's administration.
