Yar`adua risk impeachment… As Ministerial delegation is left high and dry

Source: understands that six man ministerial delegation which was last week selected to visit the ailing President Umaru Yar`dua could not take off as scheduled. Impeccable sources revealed that members of the team, which consists

of Minister of Health, Prof. Babatunde Osotimehin; the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Kayode Adetokunbo; Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Sayyadi Abba-Ruma; and Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Rilwanu Lukman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, were set for take-off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, when information came in that the Saudi Arabian aviation authorities had denied the presidential jet, which was to convey the visiting team, landing access at the Jeddah airport.

Though no official statement was issued, informed sources told that this may be a continuation of the cat and mouse game that Yar'Adua's handlers have continued to play with Nigerians, who hired Umaru Yar'Adua's as president in May 2007. Thus far, three different delegations had travelled to Jeddah with hope of ascertaining the health status of the president. But none of the missions are known to sight Yar'Adua's, talk less of obtaining information to assess the true state of his health.

Recall that in January, American Chronicle reported, "Nigerian President, His Excellency Umaru Yar'Adua's is dead according to authoritative sources at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Sources at the Hospital say that the First lady wants to keep the news secret for the next few days for personal reasons”.At the time of his death he was surrounded by his wife, Turai and a childhood friend, Nigerian Member of Parliament".

Yar`adua handlers vehemently denied this report, in the words of Tanimu Yakubu, Chief Economic adviser to President Yar`dua, “U re making me to break my silence on not responding again to recurring death wishes for President Umar Musa Yar'adua.I confirm that the story in the hyper link you referred me to is yet another death wish for President Umar Musa Yar'adua.

President Umar Musa Yar'adua is alive. Watch out for a proof shortly”.

Continuing, Mr. Yakubu said, "Mr. President's friend in the National Assembly is Hon. Member of the Federal House of Representatives is Mallam Shehu Inuwa Imam representing Faskari Federal Constituency in Katsina State. This gentleman was in Nigeria on the day he was wished to have witnessed the President's death!

Once again, I confirm that President Umar Musa Yar'adua is alive, feeling much better, mentally alert and home bound very soon by the grace of the Almighty God".

That was in January, February is almost over, yet no Umaru. The question now is, how soon is very soon?.It is wait a and see game. However, this pan out, one thing is certain, Umaru Yar'Adua's has lost the confidence of Nigerians and our comity of friends and his end is nigh.
