Ihedioha Takes To A Different Trademark Cap

By Ugochukwu Favour-Mayor

How faceted the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha is to life, politics and culture came to limelight last week in Abuja, when he stormed the National Assembly with a red cap, outside his usual trademark cap, green.

One of the numerous aspects about him that has received little public attention is his love and respect for culture as well as the concomitant recognition he has received from custodians of the heritage. This was the part the deputy speaker bared open in lavish proportions to the world recently when he appeared at the National Assembly in a colourful traditional chieftaincy regalia.

He, however, was the cynosure of all eyes as he alighted gracefully from his official flag car and sauntered majestically into main lobby of the white house building of the National Assembly. The trademark green cap for which he is easily identified was missing. In replacement was a high-end red cap, which identified him as a confirmed red cap chief.

According to report, this is the second time he would be arriving the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly with a different attire and cap. During their election at the National Assembly, it could also be gathered that he arrived with a Hausa cap and wear, but as of recent, the story took to a different dimension. In case you don't know, he is now the Ebube Mba 1 of Abia State.
