Under Secretary for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman will present opening remarks to the inaugural session of the U.S.-Liberia Partnership Dialogue, Tuesday, May 7 at the U.S. Institute for Peace. A high-level Liberian delegation, led by Augustin Ngafuan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is in Washington D.C. to attend the meeting of the Dialogue intended to promote diplomatic and economic cooperation between the United States and Liberia and ensure sustained, bilateral engagement on issues of mutual interest.

The two governments will engage in working group sessions to enhance U.S.-Liberia partnerships in agriculture and food security, and energy and power infrastructure. In the afternoon, U.S. Institute of Peace will host a public outreach event where Liberian Cabinet Ministers will discuss Liberia's inclusive development strategy and take questions from the audience and via social media.
