FirstBank Promotes Virtual Literarcy, Supports 'The Writer Blogging Competition

SAN FRANCISCO, March 13, (THEWILL) - In a bid to promote virtual literacy and creative writing for social medium platforms and blogs, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Nigeria’s Number One Bank Brand, has lent its support to the Writer 2013 an online reality blogging competition which kicked off on March 10, 2013.

The Writer 2013, which is the second edition of the exclusive online reality blogging competition, enables participants who have a flair for writing across the globe to carve a niche for themselves in the virtual literacy world. Participants also stand a chance of winning cash prizes of $1000, $750 and $500 respectively.

Over two thousandntries from Nigeria, United Kingdom, United States, Canada and other African countries were recieved for the competition, out of which ten finalists emerged after a careful screening process by the judges.

These finalists will go through rigorous timelines and exciting weekly themes. Distinguished judges would vet the entries while members of the public would vote and eventually eliminate seven contestants to leave the last three standing. In conjunction with the Naked Conversation (NakedConvos) The Writer 2013 Online Blogging Competition promises to be both innovative and exciting.
