The speculated Presidential ambition of Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State got a boost, at the weekend, as Governor Isah Yuguda of Bauchi State threw his weight behind the call for him to take a shot at the Presidency after his tenure as Governor of Jigawa State in 2015.

Yuguda, who made the declaration on Friday night, after meeting behind closed doors with his host in Dutse for some hours, said Lamido is an elder brother and he is fully in support of his candidacy.

This is coming on the heels of the recent secret meeting between the Governor and the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Dutse, which lasted for more than one hour. Though both Governors were not willing to disclose the subject matter of their discussion at the meeting, Yuguda, in response to a poser from reporters, said he would support Lamido for Presidency because he is an elder Brother.

It would be recalled that the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly also declared the support of the House for Governor Lamido to go ahead and take a shot at the Presidency when the Governor Presented the 2013 appropriation bill to the House
