ANAMBRA PROSCRIBES NATIONAL YOUTH ORGANIZATION

The State Government has declared unlawful the National Youth Organization and its activities.

Governor Peter Obi who gave the order cited as Anambra State unlawful society Declaration Order, 2013, said the Organization and its activities were dangerous to the peace, order and good governance of Anambra State and was therefore declared unlawful society in the State.

Governor Obi who said the Order takes effect from Monday the 31st January, 2013, explained that the proscription is in exercise of his powers on section 98 (2) of the criminal code, cap 36, Laws of Anambra State of Nigeria.
