Fayemi Dissolves Ekiti Cabinet
… Directs Commissioners, Specials Advisers To Hand Over To Permanent Secretaries
SAN FRANCISCO, January 09, (THEWILL) – The Ekiti State Executive Council has been dissolved by the Governor of the State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi with a directive to all members to handover to their respective permanent secretaries.
The dissolution order was announced to members of the council at today’s Executive Council meeting, a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode said.
“The Governor announced the decision to members of the council during Wednesday’s meeting at the Executive Council Chamber; Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti,” the statement said, adding that the reconstitution of the cabinet would revitalize the administration and propel it to attain its targets.
“This is a moment of change and transformation in all that we are doing. This is not a statement about an individual not pulling their weight enough,” the Governor said in the statement.
Ekiti State is run by an administration elected under the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
