EU congratulates Ghana on successful swearing-in of President John Mahama

ACCRA, Ghana, January 8, 2013/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- The European Union has congratulated His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on the occasion of his swearing-in as President of the Republic of Ghana on January 7, 2013. Dr. Nicholas Westcott, The Managing Director for Africa, European External Action Service (EEAS), and Special Envoy of the High Representative and Vice President of the European Union, Catherine Ashton, who led a delegation to Ghana to witness the swearing in of President Mahama said "This is a significant day not just for Ghanaian democracy, but for Africa. Ghana continues to lead the way." He said the EU looks forward to strengthening partnership on all international issues as well as the development for the Ghanaian people.
