Plane Crash: PDP Calls On Members To Pray For Taraba Governor, Aides

SAN FRANCISCO, October 26, (THEWILL) - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on its members nationwide to observe minutes of prayers Saturday for the speedy recovery of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Mr. Danbaba Suntai and his aides who were involved in an air crash on Thursday night in Yola. 


"Our National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur on behalf of the National Executive Committee wishes to call on all our members to observe minutes of prayers tomorrow, Saturday, 27th of October, 2012 for the speedy recovery of our dear Governor Suntai and his aides."



The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh who conveyed the party's decision today in Abuja said the PDP was grateful to God for saving the life of the Governor and his aides. 




"Very few, very very few has God been so merciful to in a similar circumstance. We are overwhelmed with joy over this act of boundless mercy from God Almighty," the party’s release stated. 



While praying for their speedy recovery, the party also urged them not to allow the pains of the moment to shake their faith in the Almighty. 



Suntai has been admitted at the National Hospital in Abuja, while his aides are being treated at the Federal Medical centre in Yola, Adamawa State.
