NHF CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BECOME VOLUNTARY

National Council on Establishments (NCE) will deliberate on the request to make contributions to the National Housing Fund (NHF) voluntary or pass the deductions from Federal Government employees to the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board.

A statement by the spokesman of the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Tope Ajakaiye, said the NCE will decide on the issues at its 36th meeting in Akure between Thursday and Friday.

Other issues to be considered by the council include the request for computation of annual leave of civil servants on working days as opposed to calendar days and payment of civil servants rent allowance en-bloc at the beginning of every year, among other issues.
