Kalu, Orji and non-performance

"For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot," Romans 8:7.

The concurrent outbursts of the opposition political parties in Abia State that Governor Theodore Orji is just a titular and is not performing have really justified that the amiable ex-Governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, is heavenly. Due to the unfolding events in the state today, many people are however saying that Kalu should forgive them to have said things against him. But their regret is that he did not think-out well to had stood behind Orji as his successor owing to the dimwittedness they are seeing in Orji and his governance.

Imagine! Instead of working hard to liberate the state from the mess it is in, speculations surround Orji that he is banking money to mobilize the people of the state for the mirage called 2015 elections. Indeed, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" Jeremiah 17:9.

Disappointing, unlike politicians in other states who lost their election petitions in the court, those that the court said are the rightful winners, didn't cast vituperations on the opposition. But this is not the case in Abia State. “Keep quiet and lick the wounds of your defeat,” is the statement Orji have ever used on the opposition, instead of emancipating them into the government to bring in their own 'fresh' ideas for the growth and wellbeing of the state. He has ever represented, "Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me." (Psalm 41:9).

This shows that he has a divisive tendencies and that he sees and considers him a good politician, but others are hogwash. It is a pity! Such derogatory microscope of the governor is not good and will make him not to see his glaring deficiencies which the people are shouting at. His incessant call to the people of Abia State to be patient will last to what date. The people have already seen that he lacks the dexterity and wisdom to liberate and rescue them from the environmental and poverty stricken dungeon he has left them in to be gnashing their teeth laced with wailing and sorrow. Does he know that the people have entirely lost hope in him? This is why a staunch opposition politician in the state had said that Orji's malevolence can only sway for a period and must fade away one day.

Ready to see Orji's non-performance, any well meaning Abian should thank the people in Aba in the manner they put across their minds on him at the stadium during Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu's burial observance in the state. They pelted him, for his trade in negligence of democratic laws where dividends to the people was supposed to be a right and not a pity. Orji saw the later as his brand of governance and have left the people to garland in pains due to obsession and love for dividing people. Orji has refused to “…take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:17).

He is exhibiting all the garbage perhaps because of the party he belongs to with the view that he is always covered. But this is not the way of democracy, and the party must look into this non-performing governor in it and treat him accordingly with a whip of humanface. Such people give party bad name.

For example: “They are giving the Governor the impression that the people are insatiable, what and what has he put on the ground that the people should go hysterical with joy? Why did Aba not boo Mbakwe during his time, why did they not boo Orji Uzor Kalu whom he said was holding him in bondage? All these go to show that he was responsible for what ever feat Orji Uzor Kalu did not perform in Abia during his tenure because he was the Chief of staff. Why are Imolites not booing Okorocha for doing well? But if in 20 years time, Orji Uzor Kalu steps his feet in Aba soil, they will remove their cap for him. Why? Because he left a foot print in the sands of time in the area of road construction. The remaining roads that are used by Aba people today were done by his administration,” said a strong voice in the state.

Sadly, Orji is going down gradually because his people have said that he has failed them which has resulted to him using rented crowd anywhere he went and the agberos were paid N5,000 per trip to cheer him. It goes a long way to show that people like Orji die many time before their real death because they chose not the Spirit of God to speak by them, but his word is always on their tongue.
