ABAKALIKI - PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, yesterday, affirmed that with the recent victory of Governor Martin Elechi at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abakaliki, that there was no longer any form of opposition in the state.

State Chairman of the party, Chief Ugorji Ama Oti, disclosed this in Abakaliki during a civic reception in honour of the party's youth leader, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, who was recently given a national award of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Oti, who expressed satisfaction over the victory of the party at the tribunal, stated that there was no way the opposition political party would have been declared winner at the tribunal, considering the level

of support and votes given to Governor Elechi by the people during the last general election in the state.

He said the party was not losing sleep as the petition challenging the victory of the Governor was now before the Appeal Court, Enugu.
