SACKING ME WON'T SOLVE NIGERIA'S FOOTBALL PROBLEM -SIASIA

By NBF News

Embattled Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has said that sacking him would not expressly solve the problems of Nigerian football noting that he should not be the focus of attention but resolving issues that will see football move to the next level.

Siasia, whose fate would be known Friday when the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF meets in Abuja told Daily SunSports that while he awaits the decision of the football house with an open mind, he believes he still has a lot to offer Nigeria.

'The board would be meeting soon and I'm hopeful that I be given a second chance. I'm waiting for their decision but let me also make it clear that should they decide to sack me, it won't be the solution to the problems of our football.

I was given a task to execute and it did not go well by way of us failing to qualify for the 2012 Nations Cup. What has happened has happened and I think there is still much I can do to build on what I've started,' Siasia noted.

The process of change according to the coach is difficult but would pay off in the long run and that as such, he should be given another chance.

'The future of the Nigerian football lies in youth development and that is the philosophy I'm bringing to the national team.
