Akwa Ibom Not Underdeveloped...ACN is Wrong, Says Umanah

The Akwa Ibom state commissioner for information and social orientation,  Aniekan Umanah, has refuted allegations by the chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, in the state , Dr Ahmadu Attai, that the state is underdeveloped.

According to him, the governor's unrivaled human, physical, and social development efforts have earned him local and international recognitions.

He listed free education at primary and secondary school levels, free health care services for infants below six, the aged above 65, as well as expectant mothers as some of Governor Godswill Akpabio's achievements.

Others are, the empowerment of the people through small and medium scale enterprises, building of general hospitals,  several dual carriage ways and  the Ibom power project.

According to him " Not long ago , the state banned commercial motorcycles and gave tricycles to thousands of people."

He said further that " it  also made available funds as revolving loans. This government takes pride in in not only the physical transformation of the state but also the human development"
