Fast rising comedian, Chima Ralph, has won the Face Off Comedy competition organized by Hex Entertainment in Lagos. Ralph smiled home with N50,000 to defeat 16 other stand up comedians in a keenly contested competition. Aside winning the competition, he also has the opportunity of showcasing his God given talent at comedy shows like Opa William's Nite of a Thousand laughs among others.

Event Manager of Hex Entertainment Yinka Akinlawon, disclosed that Face Off Comedy competition is a unique competition because it gives comedians a free platform to showcase their talent as well as provide an opportunity for winners to excel. 'Unlike other shows where contestants are asked to pay a certain amount of money as fees in order for them to be part of the competition. Face Off is totally free and the idea is to encourage young comedians who may not have the money to pay for the show.'

During the first two stages of the competition, comedians are at liberty to comment on different issues but at the final stage, the last two comedians will take on themselves mostly on their looks or dress sense or any other thing that comes to their mind.

The winner will have the opportunity to perform at most Night of a thousand laughs shows and other comedy events in future.

Akinlawon added that Face Off comedy show has been on for the past three years and has imparted positively on the lives of youths who at one point or the other have lost hope of becoming a comedian that they had always dreamt of becoming. It will now be a quarterly event that will be packed with more exciting features.

The competition has become a household name in Benin, Edo State and has now berthed in Lagos was anchored by Bovi, comedian cum actor.
