Airtel Makes 14 Nigerians Millionaires in 2Wks in Feel Free Promo

Lagos, Nigeria; March 15, 2011: A fresh set of winners have joined the growing list of Nigerians who have become millionaires through the ongoing Airtel Feel Free Bonanza.


Seven additional participants in the highly interactive SMS trivia Promo join the list during a draw held in Lagos on Monday, March 14, 2011 by the leading telecommunications service provider.


The new set of millionaires include a 46 year old Air force Officer, Adeyemi Osunbade based in Ikeja in Lagos; a 37 year old Soldier in 35 Battalllion of the Nigerian Army in Katsina, Ahmed Yusuf; and an office assistant, 36, Sukami Balogun from Oluyole in Ibadan, Oyo State.


This comes as the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) has commended Airtel Nigeria for being consistent in conducting credible and transparent promos in the country.


Speaking during the second draw of the Bonanza, a representative of the Commission, Mrs. Ogechi Eze, said the Lottery Regulatory authority is happy with the conduct of the promo and particularly, with the open process of selecting winners. She said it is the duty of the Lottery umpire to ensure sanity in the lottery business while stressing the need to uphold transparency and efficiency of Promos so that participants will not lose confidence in the credibility of such promotions.


Each of these winners will be presented with N1, 000,000.00 (one million naira) cash at a presentation ceremony in the nearest Airtel location at a date to be announced shortly.


The latest batch of millionaires brings to 14 the total number of millionaires that have so far emerged from the Bonanza.


According to the Chief Marketing Officer, Airtel Nigeria, George Andah, the company is determined to make 100 Nigerians millionaires during the course of the Promo. Daily, the company offer participants in the Promo the opportunity to win N1, 000,000.00 (one million naira), an LCD TV set and a brand new BlackBerry Smartphone.


The mobile operator gives every Nigerian the chance daily to win N1, 000,000.00 (one million naira), LCD TV sets and top of the range BlackBerry Smartphones.


Stunned by the news of his success in the Bonanza, one of the new millionaires, Osunbade said he never expected to be picked amongst millions of customers who are partaking in the bonanza. He added his emergence as a winner is purely a miracle and the onset of great things to come.


Also, an Ibadan based caterer, Mrs. Funmilayo Malagwu, an Akure based student, Adeola Akinwunmi, and a Yobe State resident and automobile electrician, Hassan Abubakar have emerged winners of brand new LCD Television sets.
