F/EAGLES SHOULD GO BACK ON TOUR -OGUNTUWASE

By NBF News

Nigerian former international, Jide Oguntuwase, has asked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to quickly put Flying Eagles back on the road to continue their preparation for the African Youth Championship.

Oguntuwase, who observed that players are bound to lose form and focus once left unguarded, said that any further delay in sending the team out of the nation's shores to continue their preparations will reverse all the gains already acquuired in their almost one month foreign trip.

'Coming back to Nigeria is not okay for them because most Nigerian players when they traveld out and come back, they often want to enjoy themselves and so they will not be able to quickly get back to the fitness level that they required.

'Now that CAF has fixed April for the championship, the team should go an a foreign tour.

I know other countries are not relaxing, they are still preparing but the mentality of some Nigerian players is that once they finish training, they will want to enjoy themselves.

'The boys should go all out even if it is to some of our neighbouring West African states, let them go there and continue with their playing tour.' The former Flying Eagles player who expressed satisfaction with the team's preparations so far however is upbeat that the team has all it takes to qualify from their group.

'Well, I am very happy with their preparations so far and the training tour also because training outside the country means much to the players apart from the exposure they get playing on a turf the same as the competition turf put them on advantage.
