In a bid to ensure that Imo State is taken over by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), former Lagos state Governor, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the incumbent governor of the state Babatunde Raji Fashola , Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole and other AC governors have confirmed their support for Senator Ifeanyi Ararume as he flags off his Governorship campaign in Imo state.

Araraume who spoke In Owerri on his arrival from a consultative tour of the United States and the United Kingdom, where he met with Imo indigenes in diaspora, confirmed that other leaders including all the AC governors and the Chairman of the party Chief Bisi Akande, would be in Orlu on Tuesday as the party flags off its campaign for the 2011 elections for the various seats in Imo state.

The campaign which kicks off midday at the Orlu Township stadium is expected to be the platform where all the ACN aspirants and leaders would be presented to the people of Imo state.

On the choice of Orlu where the former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa hails from and running for a senatorial seat on the platform of ACN, Ararume disclosed that it would indeed afford the supporters of the party and other aspirants in the other areas of the state, an opportunity to see and interact with the leaders of the party from outside Imo.

The leaders of the party and the governors are expected to outline the programmes of ACN and explain to the supporters how they have been able to achieve successes in the various states. The party, he said is a shining example of how governance should touch the lives of the people as exemplified by the present Governors of ACN in their various states, 'we in Imo State is poised to surpass other states,' he said yesterday in Owerri on arrival.
