YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, AS TIRZAH

By NBF News

I have nothing to offer you this morning other than a praise song, a symphonic sermon on beauty, because you are truly beautiful; beautiful in every sense of the word beautiful. 'You are beautiful, my beloved, as Tirzah, as lovely as Jerusalem, majestic as troops with banners.' (Songs of Solomon 6:4)

Our discussion today is taken from the Songs of Solomon, the most romantic chapter in the Bible written by King Solomon, the wisest and the richest man that ever lived. So we are told in the Bible. As you read this media homiletics, God will bless you abundantly with wisdom and riches beyond measure. If He did it for Solomon, He would do it for you, in Jesus' name. Because, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Beloved members of the Press Clips Pentecostal Church (PCPC), I want you to look into the mirror and tell that person you see in the mirror: 'You are beautiful.'

Tell the man or the woman in the mirror that you are beautifully made, that you are wonderfully made, because your Maker is the Artist Supreme whose works are far more enduring than Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the famous, priceless painting imprisoned in the Louvre museum in Paris.

Today, I want to talk about beauty. I want to celebrate beauty, because life is beautiful. Everything God created is beautiful. You are beautiful. I am beautiful. The highest compliment you can pay me is to tell me: 'You are beautiful. You are a beautiful writer. You have blessed me with you beautiful message.' I pray that this message will truly bless you and beautify you with the riches of His glory.

Beauty starts with God and ends with God. Beauty is divine. Beauty is eternal. As Ecclesiastes 3: 1 puts it: 'He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.'

To see the beauty of God's handiwork, you will have to look at the sublimity of nature. Nature is so beautiful. Nature is so majestic. Nature is so melancholic. It takes only a poet to feel the melancholic beauty of nature. I am talking of the beauty of the sun rising gently from the east in the morning, when God, like a movie director, will beam His powerful projector in the clouds and fill the morning sky with the light of His glory.

Then in the evening He will dim the light and the sun will set in the west amid a splash of colours. In the night, he will fill the firmament with stars and electrify our darkness with the light of the moon so glorious under the African skies. Then when it rains, the Supreme Artist will show His glory in the beauty of the rainbow painted in an 'arc de Triomphe' above us all.

With God everything is beautiful: the flowers, fruits, sunset, birds, wildlife, waterfalls, winter, snow, the seasons, landscape; everything is beautiful.

It was the Turkish journalist and writer Ahmet Rassim who said: 'The beauty of a landscape resides in its melancholy.' I agree with him. If you visit Obudu Cattle Ranch in Cross Rivers State, you would understand and appreciate the beauty of an awesome landscape filled with the peace and melancholy of cattle grazing in the serene greenery of the rugged mountainous pastures. It is one vision of beauty that makes me appreciate God and the beauty of His works.

On Monday night, I watched the most beautiful one-sided 'El-classico' football game ever between the two Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. I don't know whether you watched it, but I did. It was beautiful and riveting, even though my team lost woefully. The beauty of life is being able to say something good about your opponent. As a fan of Jose Mourinho, I was rooting for Real Madrid, but Barcelona were simply on another planet. Their football was not just beautiful. It was so sublime. I could not help blessing the name of the Lord for creating such a team of highly talented football players who mesmerized the whole world with their beautiful soccer skills.

Like Barcelona, you will score goals against your enemy even before the end of this year. Like Barcelona, you will reap your harvest abundantly this December. I prophesy that God will open doors for you this December, in Jesus' name. This December, God will send you an angel who will give you a big surprise. Perhaps, a fat, beautiful cheque will come your way this Christmas season, in Jesus' name. You will receive the unexpected from the unexpected source.

In this beautiful season of Christmas when the world marks the birthday of our beautiful Messiah, may it be a season of beautiful testimonies for you lady looking for the fruit of the womb, for you applicant looking for employment, for you looking for various breakthroughs. Jehovah has heard your prayers and your miracles are on the way, in Jesus' name. You will score your goal. You will even score two at a time!

For you looking for what to do, a new window of opportunity would open from heaven for you. For you whose door has been closed, a new door will open. The enemy thinks it's over, but our beautiful God says it's not yet through with you. He has beautiful things lined up for you as you spent this Christmas and enter the New Year.

I pray that God will give you the spirit of Manchester United. The spirit of determination. The never-give-up spirit. The spirit of winning even when you are not playing well. You will be on top of the table, like Barcelona and Manchester United. There will not be confusion and the spirit of losses and draws in your camp, as Chelsea is going through now!

Once more, I want you to turn to your neighbour and say: 'You are beautiful. You are a winner. You are a conqueror. You will sing a song of victory this year and forever.'

Now, what is beauty? It was Shakespeare who said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty depends on how you see it. What is beautiful to one person might not be beautiful to another. Beauty, for me, is anything that inspires me, anything that lifts my spirit, anything that makes feel happy inside, anything that makes me want to glorify God.

Baby, you are so beautiful. After all these years, you are still beautiful. Your beauty is not just on the outside. It is beauty from within. It is beauty enveloped in grace, purity and virtue. You are beautiful. If you are not beautiful, you cannot live with me and you cannot be my friend.

Brother, tell your woman every day, she is beautiful. Women, no matter what age, love to be told they are beautiful. Appreciate your woman. Appreciate her love. Appreciate her in every way.

And you woman, make yourself beautiful every day. Yes, the Bible says charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but that was in the olden days. If you don't want your man to look outside, continue to make yourself look beautiful every day. Beautify your inner self. Beautify your outer self. Beautify your home.

Beauty and cleanliness go together. They are next to godliness. As for ugliness, it goes with poverty, sickness, dirtiness and everything negative. Ugliness will not be your portion in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Bible talks about the beauty of holiness. The beauty of worshipping God in a beautiful environment, in a beautiful place of worship. The beauty of singing beautiful songs in praise of God. The beauty of listening to a powerful, inspiring sermon. The beauty of answered prayers. That's what I wish for you.

Finally, I pray that God will beautify your life, your family, your business, your health, your finances, your relationships, your thoughts, your writings, your everything. God will beautify and profit the works of your hand because He is beautiful and you are beautiful. He will even make you more beautiful and more prosperous than Tirzah and Jerusalem. There is nothing He cannot do! He will do it for you. And for me too!
