I Haven't Stuck Out My Neck For Any Politician – Falz

Popular Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has clarified his political stance, stating that he has never openly supported Peter Obi, the NDC presidential candidate, or any other politician.

He made this known during an interview on Arise Television's Prime Time.

Falz explained that while he has actively encouraged Nigerians, especially youths, to participate in elections and clamour for a free and fair democratic process, he has not publicly endorsed any politician.

He expressed concern about the country's political cycle, noting that the same set of people keep being reshuffled, making it difficult to vouch for any Nigerian politician in 2026.

He said:
"Just a point of correction. I never openly supported Peter Obi or any politician or party in 2023 or at any point. I have actively encouraged people to go out and vote."

"I clamour for a free and fair democratic process. I haven't stuck out my neck for any politician for obvious reasons."

"I think it's very important to strengthen our democracy in this country. We've been going in cycles, and it just seems like almost the same crop of people we keep on reshuffling, and at the end of the day, it's tough to even sit anywhere and vouch for a Nigerian politician in 2026."
