Portable And Charles Okocha Set For Boxing Rematch In 'Unfinished Business' Bout
Controversial singer Portable and actor Charles Okocha are set to settle their long-standing rivalry in a celebrity boxing rematch on July 31.
The fight, promoted as "Unfinished Business," will take place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, and was announced by Balmoral Promotions via Instagram.
The event will also feature the Agbaje vs Musa contest, with promoters describing it as a night for four fighters to settle scores in the ring.
The announcement comes after Portable suffered his first defeat at Chaos in the Ring 4, where streamer Carter Efe defeated him via a 30-27 unanimous decision, ending his unbeaten run. Prior to that loss, Portable had built a record with victories over Okocha and Speed Darlington, earning two celebrity boxing belts.
The rivalry between Portable and Okocha dates back to 2023, when Portable accused the actor of cheating him out of about N40 million in a business deal. The dispute moved from social media to the ring at Landmark Beach, where Portable won after four rounds and was awarded the championship belt. Okocha rejected the outcome and has consistently demanded a rematch, arguing that the result did not reflect the fight.
The post read:
"Africa, the stage is set. Now, we settle the score. Portable. Charles Okocha. Agbaje. Musa. Four fighters. One ring. No more talk."
