Toke Makinwa  Emotional As Daughter, Yaya Is Set To Turn One

Popular media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has opened up about her emotional journey as her daughter prepares to turn one.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, she expressed how overwhelmed she feels watching her baby grow, admitting that she is not ready to say goodbye to the baby stage.

Makinwa shared tender moments about her daughter, describing how the little girl now gives her hugs, looks at her like she is the whole world, and smiles at her regardless of the kind of day she has had. She also revealed how her daughter loves to pull at her lashes and laugh when she yells from the pain, calling it the true definition of "there is love at home."

The media personality admitted that while she looks forward to meeting the toddler her daughter will become, she is currently emotional about leaving the baby stage behind. She encouraged her daughter to fly, acknowledging that growth is inevitable even when it is hard to let go.

She wrote:
"I wasn't ready for when she started loving me back.

All of the feels in the world.
My baby gives me hugs now,
She looks at me like I am the whole world,
She smiles at me, and it doesn't matter what sort of day I've had,

She loves to pull at my lashes and laugh once I yell from the pain.

My baby will be turning 1 soon, and though I look forward to the toddler I get to meet, I am currently so emotional, I don't want to say goodbye to the baby stage, but you gotta fly, baby,

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Toke Makinwa took to her Instagram page in the early hours of Thursday, August 28, 2025, to announce that she is now a mother, stating that she is happy.

She further appreciated her maker, thanking Him for providing her miracle for her, whom she revealed as Yakira Eliana, Olakitan, lyanuoluwa, Ikeoluwa, Adunola.
