"It Is Not How Long We Live, But How Well We Live" – Ayo Makun Shares Message Following Alexx Ekubo's Burial 

Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun has shared an important message to the public about life, following the burial of the late actor, Alexx Ekubo.

In a post on his Instagram page, AY, as he is fondly called revealed that following Ekubo's burial, the world has continued to move on, maintaining that it is a reminder that life never pauses for anyone.

According to him, no matter the level of wealth one posseses—once the individual is dead—the world moves on.

Hammering his message, emphasized that life's greatest lesson is not how long one lives, but how well the individual has made an impact.

He wrote:
"On Thursday, we laid Alex to rest.
As the dust settled on his grave, life quietly continued.

Some people rushed to catch flights.
Some hurried back to work.
Markets opened.
Children went to school.
World Cup football matches were played.
Traffic returned to the roads.
Laughter echoed somewhere.
Birthday cakes were cut.
Wedding plans were made.
Phones kept ringing.
Bills still had to be paid.
Dreams still demanded pursuit.
The painful reminder is that life never pauses for anyone.

No matter how loved we are, how famous we become, how much wealth we gather, or how many hearts we touch, the world keeps moving when we are gone.

Perhaps that is why the greatest lesson is not how long we live, but how well we live.

To love deeply.
To forgive quickly.
To be kind and generous.
To leave footprints that time cannot erase.
Because one day, for each of us, life will continue without us, too.

The Nigerian Voice reported that Alexx Ekubo gave up the ghost on May 11, at the age of 40, following a battle with cancer.

The actor's Service of Songs was held at the Monarch Event Centre in the Lekki area of Lagos State on June 10. The ceremony drew a mix of Nigeria’s entertainment and political elite. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as colleagues, friends, and fans came together to pay their final respects to the beloved actor.

Recall that following the arrival of the actor's body at his father’s compound at Arochukwu, Abia State on Wednesday, June 17, a wake-keep was organized in his memory, with Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ayo Makun, amongst others in attendance.

Alexx Ekubo was finally laid to rest amidst tears on Thursday, June 18.
