Afrobeats star Ruger is poised to make his musical comeback after a legal dispute with a former partner had halted his ability to release new work, his management team has confirmed.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Blown Boy Entertainment revealed that the singer had been navigating personal legal troubles after an ex-partner filed a lawsuit alleging emotional distress and seeking damages. The label confirmed that the matter has now been resolved, allowing Ruger to fully refocus on his music career, including work on upcoming projects.

Blown Boy Entertainment also expressed gratitude to fans for their continued support and patience throughout the singer’s hiatus from releasing music.

Additionally, the label unveiled Ruger’s summer performance lineup, featuring shows in Belgium, Màlaga, Bali, Malawi, and the United States.

The full statement read:

We know it’s been a while since Ruger dropped new music.

Ruger is back to doing what he loves most making music. And best believe, he’s been cooking.

This summer, you can catch Ruger performing in:

Belgium

August belongs to us.

Stay tuned, enjoy your summer, and get ready for what’s next.

With Appreciation,

Management Blown Boy Entertainment."
