Etuhu, Ayila Can Free Mikel €“ Yobo

Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi will venture upfront a lot more for the Super Eagles if the likes of Dickson Etuhu and Yusuf Ayila do the dirty job for him in the midfield, according to skipper Joseph Yobo.

'There is room for improvement in the team after the match against Madagascar. The team would be a lot stronger if other players like Dickson Etuhu, Yusuf Ayila, Taye Taiwo and Obinna Nsofor could join us,' Yobo told MTNFootball.com.

'This will create more competition for places in the team. The young players who joined us from the Nigerian Premier League have also proved that they can succeed with this team but they only need to be with this team for some time to gather enough experience.

'The defence and attack held their own against Madagascar. But we need to bring in players like Etuhu and Ayila to join Kalu Uche to do the marking for Mikel in the midfield so that Mikel would be free to play his free role in the team.'

'And with Obinna Nsofor also rejoining the team would further strengthen our attack and we will be unstoppable in Conakry.'

Yobo informed that next month's Nations Cup qualifier will be approached with all seriousness by the players.
