This Shows How Political Awards Have Become: Daniel Regha Criticizes AMVCA

The prominent Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards(AMVCA) by Multichoice Nigeria has released its list of nominations for the 10th edition of the awards ceremony, which is slated to be held on 11th May, 2024.

Many names have been listed in the nomination list, worthy of note is popular skitmaker, Isaac Ayomide Olayiwola, popularly known as Layi Wasabi who has been nominated in the category of Medical Negligence and Copyright Infringement.

However, celebrity tormentor and social media critic, Daniel Regha seems not to be in approval of the nomination of Layi Wasabi as fellow skitmaker, Muhammed Gilmore, best known as Gilmore was not nominated for any awards. “This shows how political awards have become”, Regha said.

The critic took to X to air his thoughts on Gilmore's exclusion from the nomination, he wrote; “Layi is getting x2 AMVCA nominations for Best Digital Content Creator, but Gilmore got none despite all his efforts & realistic/relatable contents; That only shows how politica! awards have become. So shamefu!...”
