Oyinlola wins at Tribunal

The Osun  State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). has been re-affirmed as  Governor of the state.

The Election Tribunal in Osogbo , the Osun state capital, re-affirmed the April 14, 2007, victory of Oyinlola.

The tribunal ruling is the outcome of a re-trial of the petition filed by Rauf Aregbesola, the AC candidate as ordered by the Appeal Court, sitting in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, last year.

Mr. Aregbesola has, however, vowed to appeal the decision.
