A top Yoruba actor, Alhaji Yekini Ajileye, is dead. P.M.News learnt that the Osogbo-based actor of Koto Aye and Ide fame died this morning at his residence after a protracted illness that lasted for three months.

P.M.News further gathered that colleagues and sympathisers had been trooping his residence to pay condolence visit while he will be buried this afternoon at 4p.m. according to Islamic injunctions. One of his wives, Alhaja Mujidat Ajileye a.k.a. Mama Mi L'eko, also died barely two years ago.

Some of the popular films he produced during his life time, include Koto Aye, Eran Iya Osogbo, Ibrahim, Omo Orukan and Ide among others. His recent film, 'Aye Alaye' has just been released. Until his death, the late Ajileye was a very close friend of Yem-Kem boss, Prince (Dr.) Akintunde Ayeni.
