Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos Praised By The Late John Glenn

A letter from John Glenn to billionaire Jeff Bezos — written shortly before the astronaut's Thursday death — was read at the presentation of a Smithsonian award to Bezos.

Hours after Glenn passed, fellow astronaut Mae Jemison read the note, which was written on Nov. 28 to congratulate the Amazon founder and space-travel entrepreneur on receiving the museum's Ingenuity Award.

Glenn wrote: “I see the day coming when people will board spacecraft the same way millions of us now board jetliners. When that happens, it will be largely because of your achievements this year,” referencing Bezos' Blue Origin private space program.
