The family of the deceased Guaranty Trust Bank big boy, Lekan Nosiru Oluwalose who, as alleged, lynched by a crop of people believed to be members of the Odua Peoples' Congress better known as OPC has summoned the Criminal Investigation Department, Panti for their lackadaisical attitude and discontent in handling their benefactors murder case. The petition, which was sent to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Israel Ajao.

The one paged petition signed by the immediate younger brother of the slain 36 years olds highly religious chartered accountant with the GTB was sent to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos.The first paragraph commended the relentless effort of the AIG so far in uncovering the culprits behind the death of his brother .

“Despite the information at the disposal of the men at Panti, which were given to them by witnesses of the brutal murder of our brother, non of the culprits already identified have been taken into custody. Even, Ola, the leader of the murderers who was arrested at your instance is at present walking the streets a free man while your men at Panti are busy telling lies that he's in the hospital in hand cuffs” stated the statement.

In a swift development, the solicitors to the deceased, Hya' Osahon Ihenyen & Co., we gathered, have been making frantic efforts to make sure the killers of Oluwaslose are brought to book.

The petition that was sent to the Inspector General, Mr. Sunday Ehindero indicated the safety of land and the entire family of their clients, Alhaja Zenab and Alhaja Rashidat Oluwalose wives of the late banker and four children respectively.

However, the case took a new dimension when the lawyer of alleged killers of the deceased GTB chartered accountant claimed to have reported in the dailies that, his clients have no hands in the death of the late Nosiru. And that medical examinations reveal that he died of 'Asphyxia'. But, Asphyxia according to medical definition is stoppage of the pulse, cessation of the vital functions or suspended animation owing to any cause interfering with respiration.

Barrister Hya Osahon Ihenyen, from that medical revelation petition the IG over the case and we later gathered that a directive has been given for fresh investigation, which led to the re-arrest of the alleged murderers.

Penultimate week, four of the culprits, namely Ola Olafihan, leader of the hoodlums, Festus Tunde, Pastor Kolawole Shotayo, Prince of Oworo, Alhaji Baba Odo, Bankole etc have been under surveillance by the police.
Barely few days after the report of their arrest, CITY FLAMES findings reveal that, the top leaders of the mindless act led by Ola were taken to Igbosere Magistrate Court, Lagos where law was left to take its toll on them.

Meanwhile, the names of Police collaborators, who are alleged to have obstructed justice are also mention in the petition the family sent to AIG Israel Ajao.
They are: An assistant Commissioner of Police with Police vehicle No. 41d NPF 50116b Peugeot 505, D.I.G. Ikenwa [Rtd], Noah Adesanyin CSP [now in Ibadan], David Oga [Mopl] DCO and DPO at Anthony Police Station., OC Monitoring Unit, Ikeja. Also DPO Anakwe formerly at Pedro but now at Apapa and others whose names are yet to be identified.
