Sardaunan Jimeta: A Philanthropist Out To Construct Shades, Toilets In Yola Medical Centre
A philanthropist and Sardauna of Jimeta, Alhaji Mohammed Haladu, is to construct shades and toilets in Federal Medical Centre, Yola, to cater for needs of patients relatives that always flood the hospital.
Haladu made this known while receiving leadership award from GAMJI Association of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola.
Represented by his media consultant, Comrade Adamu Muhammad Dodo, the Sardaunan Jimeta who is also the Garkuwan Matasan Arewa commended the management of FMC Yola for the efficient and effective service delivery in an overstretched facility.
He observed that FMC Yola remained the only government functional health facility in the state, which carters for both the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare owing to the fact that the state government hospitals were, for the most part, dysfunctional; lacking in facility and manpower.
Haladu said that there was the urgent need and as a social responsibility, to come to the aid of the hospital with some facilities.
He observed that the patient-relatives that have overcrowded the hospital would require a shed that would protect them from the scotching sun and rainfall.
There was also the need for more toilets to check open defecation in the hospital.
Sardaunan Jimeta, having thanked and commended the GAMJI students’ association for organising such a befitting programme, equally said that he would sponsor the GAMJI members who have performed extremely well in their undergraduate examination for postgraduate studies both within and outside the country as he is known to be doing.
