Popular screen star and musician Saidi Balogun a.k.a OmoAlhaja recently ran into bad luck as he lost fifty thousand naira to the big boys of the underworld who stormed the Abidap hotels, Ipaja and made away with over N300, 000 Omo Alhaja's cash inclusive.

Balogun had gone to the hotel in company of a friend and popular producer Seun Agboola. The rule in the hotel states that valuable materials or cash were to be placed in care of the hotel at the reception office and the order was strictly adhered to by Balogun and his friend but they were later told that armed robbers broke into the hotel and made away with the money.

However, contrary to wide spread rumour that hell was let loose and the duo got the beating of their life by purported thugs of the hotel. Nollywood gathered that the case was among the parties (Abidap hotel and Saheed).

According to the hotel manager Mr. Tony Adenubi, Balogun was given a sum of twenty thousand naira out of the N50, 000 deposited, with the promise to refund the rest the next day by midday.

Omo Alhaja was said to have received the money and left in peace after agreeing to the hotel manager's proposal of paying the balance the next day. The case however took another dimension when Agboola was said to have come to the hotel threatening hell if his friend's money was not paid.

This however attracted the attention of other guests of the hotel who were rather disturbed by the unfolding event. And in a bid to avoid unnecessary embarrassment the hotel security had to throw him out of the premises and in the course of the fracas he alleged that his money was stolen and his phones were missing. The case was later taken the the police station and settled amicably with Agboola walking home with N50, 000 being compensation for the troubles he went through.

Although Balogun is not all happy with the incident the fact remains that his stolen money has been refunded in full by the hotel's management.
