BHM Hosts Davido In Celebration Of Remarkable Sony Deal

Lagos, Nigeria: 3rd, March, 2016: Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Lola OJ, Tosyn Bucknor, Kamal Ajiboye, Lola Rae, and and Ayeni Adekunle were some of the guests present, today, as BlackHouse Media, Nigerian Entertainment Today and ID Africa hosted select journalists and bloggers to a brief thank you party on behalf of Nigerian pop giant Davido.

Held at BHM Lounge, in Lagos, the event saw Davido listen to feedback from media friends, while also spilling the beans on his Sony Deal, his new artiste, his expensive accessories, and the release of his long-awaited sophomore album.

The party comes on the heels of his Sony signing - a deal he says will let him continue to have creative and business control especially in Africa. Speaking on the nature of the deal, Davido said,

“I spent almost a year going back and forth until this deal was actually completed. I wanted to make sure that I retained complete control over my work and that the terms of the deal were good for me. Now that this is done, I have several projects lined up. My album will be dropping later this year and we will be releasing a single this month. So expect bigger things!”

BHM CEO Ayeni Adekunle in his own reaction remarked,

“Davido is a friend of the house, and one of our favourite Nigerian musicians. We are proud to celebrate his achievements, and he is particular about the invaluable support he continues to enjoy from the media.
